10 Gbps Long Reach Transceiver for Mellanox SX6036/6025 InfiniBand switches
We were able to use these transceivers, along with a Mellanox QSA, to connect 2x SX6036 switches at ~1km using Single-Mode Fiber. Due to the credit system used in InfiniBand, we did NOT think 40 Gbps would be obtainable at this distance. We noticed Mellanox requires Ports 1-2 or 35-36 to be used to house these LR optics, as they would NOT work on any other ports. We are seeing 7.9 gbps of unidirectional throughput with these optics.
